Big-3

noun-in greek organizations, a term used to refer to an individual that is three generations older than the individual using the term and is related to them in their family line.  The term can also be used to indicate even older generations, i.e. big 4, big 7, big 12, etc."Claire is my big’s big big, my big 3."  New term Fall 2008.

As of 2012, only 20% of those surveyed were familiar with "Big-3" and only 13% could define the term. 2012

Based on survey results, 20% of participants could define the word, 60% of participants were familiar with the word, and 20% of participants had no idea what the word meant. These results indicated that the word is not obsolete, but it is not used very much at this point in time (M Gillanders, A-F, 2019).
