Though 100% of those surveyed were familiar with the term, only 75% of them could identify the term in the colloquial sense denoting brotherhood. The remaining 25% understood the term as the shortened form of "brassiere." 2012

100% of surveyed were able to define the word, the majority being a shortened term for "brassiere." (Serbalik, A-F, 2019)
