On the rag(adj.) A term used to describe a woman when she is menstruating; "Cheryl’s been acting cranky, is she on the rag?" A similar deinition appears at http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=on+the+rag ; this entry is probably not specific to Geneseo. Bates. Obsolete Spring 2015 (Anderson, N-R, 2015).

According to a survey conducted in 2019, 13/15 students have never heard or used this word, thereby rendering this word obsolete. (Drechsler, N-R, 2019).
