Results: 17.5% of those surveyed knew this word, and only 14.3% of the people that knew the word, learned the word at Geneseo. Conclusion: This word is not local to Geneseo, and its use is somewhat limited. Source: Dictionary of Geneseo English, Spring 1999 - Kocher Results: 16% of those surveyed knew this word in 2006, and of those who recognized this word 18% believed it to be specific to Geneseo. 45.2% of people surveyed had heard of this word before and agreed with the prior definition. 35.7% of people did not agree with the definition. 19% of people had never heard this word before. The relevancy of this word on campus was measured on a scale from 1-5. The majority of people rated the relevancy under 4. Only 5% of people rated it a 5. Although many know what this word means, it does not seem to be relevant on campus.
