(noun) Planned event at a hockey game where all supporters of the Geneseo Ice Knights wear white to distract the opposing team.

"Round up your friends, put on some white, and get to the rink! It’s a white-out tonight!"

Comments:

As a weather phenomenon, this is also used to refer to high wind conditions with a very light dusting of snow which is whipped up, drastically reducing visibility.

This is also used from time to time as a party theme, where everyone wears white. (McNiffe, N-R, 2012)
