63% of those surveyed were not familiar with the term but could define it in context. None were familiar with the term sans definition. Thought to be inherently Geneseo-specific. 2012

50% of surveyed did not know this word, which shows that this word is exclusively known to people who frequent Brodie Hall. Similarly, Brodie Commons is another word with this phenomena. (Serbalik, A-F, 2019)
