Tweaking out

The jittery, shaky feeling one gets after ingesting too many stimulants, usually caffeine, nicotine, or energy drinks. Most often heard during the weeks preceding finals.

Comments:

"Tweaking out" is still in use, with just over half of respondents using it "sometimes" or "often." (H. Heckman, S-Z, 2022).

n. Freaking out, Crashing out, Buggin. After surveys filled out by Geneseo students the word “Tweaking out” was a 2 on a familiarity scale with 1 being often used and 3 being never used. (Bell, S-Z, 2024)
