Based on survey results, 20% of participants could define the word and 20% of participants stated that it was familiar; indicating that the word is not obsolete (J Costello, A-F, 2019).

58% were familiar with this and 34% were not.  8% thought that it meant a ball of cheese.  (Rumore, A-F, 2022)
