'’Adjective’’ 1. Of female-male student ratio; "I visited my friend’s all girl college, and it was ‘‘Geneseo’’." 2. Of male attitudes toward females; "That guy blew me off the next morning…That is so ‘‘Geneseo’’." This word was listed as "obsolete in "the Fall of 1998. Results: 37.5% of those surveyed knew this word and 86.7% of the people that knew the word (which means they agreed with the definition), learned the word at Geneseo. Interestingly enough, though this word refers to Geneseo’s name, 13.3% of the people did not learn the word (in other words, they did not learn the definiton associated with it) at this school. Conclusion: This word is "mostly" local to Geneseo, its use is moderate, and this word proves that even meanings associated with place names are not necessarily always local to a region. Also, this word is not obsolete as listed in the Fall of 1998.
